Advanced Skin - Mesotherapy

Over 3000 years of history and research, what more proof could you need to support the efficacy of this treatment.

If, like me, you are looking to improve skin health in a manner that has many, many years of research and development behind it, then don’t look any further. 3000BC in various countries, doctors would practice ‘puncturing the mesoderm and would then apply a topical ointment to the area.

Dr Michel Pistor had the idea for Mesotherapy during the treatment of a patient with asthmatic bronchitis. He founded the French Society of Mesotherapy and published his paper purely focusing on pain management originally in veterinary medicine, in 1969. Mesotherapy, has in 1987, been classified by the Academy of Medicine as an integral part of classical medicine and is still taught in medical schools throughout the world to this day.

The treatment involves micro injections of therapeutic substances such as Hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals and amino acids into the superficial dermis. Allowing the ingredients to come into contact with dermal fibroblast cells. Using a CE registered Mesotherapy cocktail to treat primarily dry/dehydrated skin, lines and wrinkles. Secondary to that, Mesotherapy can help with pigmentation.

Advanced Skin - EPN Pen (Microneedling & Electroporation)

I am definitely someone who has a little panic every now and then about how I am going to age / ageing with regards to my skin and wrinkles. Microneedling and Electroporation combined are a force in aiding production of collagen and elastin. Phew!

Ultra-fine needles penetrate the skin at different depths, creating micro-channels which stimulate a wound healing response. This leads to the production of new collagen and elastin. Once the micro-channels have been created, the Electroporation technology releases electro-stimulating pulses to increase the permeability of the skin cell membrane. This allows for increased absorption of serums applied to the skin, for hydrated, healthy skin. Microneedling combined with Electroporation significantly increases the amount of serum delivered to the skin compared with traditional Microneedling treatments.

Treatments can focus on specific concerns, such as enlarged pores or uneven skin texture, to improve the overall skin quality.Patients with laxity concerns can benefit from the dual effects of Microneedling and Electroporation. For a while my parents lived a bit of a distance away and I arranged for Mum to have some treatments done with a wonderful lady near her. When I was training, this was one of my favourite treatments to carry out. No down time at all. Great treatment , especially if your not feeling that you are wanting to try the ‘bigger boys’ mentioned above.
